Microplane is simply THE BEST!August 17, 2010 B. Jain(Norman, OK USA) I've owned several Microplane products and there simply isn't anything on the market better! I started with the zester and now own several of those, the hand held grater, the rotary grater and now the box grater. I LOVE the rotary grater! It is so superior to the others I've owned. It is easy to clean and can be changed from right to left handed. I did have it stop closing securely and the Microplane company sent me a new one! They are incredible with their customer service!
did not work! how can a grater not work?!August 13, 2010 JTrinh(USA) I was trying to avoid buying a box grater, so I bought this to grate zuchini. Bad idea. It would not grate using the large or the small holes! The shiny plastic made it look more sturdy in pictures, but it's a very flimsy plastic, and I could not push the handles hard enough to get the zuchini in contact with the blades. I ended up buying a box grater, and love IT

Easy to use & largeApril 26, 2010 Eric Adair(little town in new england) We liked how much cheese actually fits in this grater! We have it in red to match our kitchen and it has lasted a few months with no issues. It comes apart easily for cleaning.
The handle is a bit small for my husband while turning. It seems very sturdy. If we ever need to buy another grater, we'll get this one again.

We have had two of these. The blades are incredibly sharp and they grate the cheese extremely well ... until the plastic on the pusher or the crank handle breaks. The same blades with a stronger body would be an incredible product, but we won't get another, until Microplane changes the design.
